On behalf of the Danish Petroleum Association (EOF), Ea Energy Analyses undertook a study of the CO2 emissions from five types of personal vehicles: Gasoline, diesel, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicles for the years 2010, 2015 and 2025.
The methodology involved focusing on the various efficiencies of each vehicle, as well as the efficiencies and CO2 emissions related to upstream activities required to provide the respective fuels.
Reviews of the current relevant technologies as well as anticipated advancements through to 2025 were also conducted. The report also highlighted the related issues of marginal electricity and the EU quota system.
