Ea has developed a catalogue of heating solutions for areas where district heating will not be available for a while.
Climate concerns, rising prices, and focus on energy security have led to a growing wish from citizens and government bodies to be free from heating with fossil fuels, and to convert to green district heating or individual heat pumps. District heating cannot be implemented in the near future in every area, and in dense settlements individual heat pumps are not always an option due to noise pollution and requirements for the appearance of the buildings. In these places it can be an advantage to explore communal heating solutions, such as thermal heat and communal heat pumps.
The work was carried out for Hørsholm and Rudersdal municipalities. Several areas with terraced and double houses in the municipalities are cases in the catalogue, since these are currently heated with gas boilers and there are no plans for roll-out of district heating anytime soon.
The catalogue (in Danish) can be found on the website for Hørsholm Municipality, and on our website here.
