As part of the Kosovo-Denmark Partnership for Just and Green Energy Transition, Ea has supported the Ministry of Economy in Kosovo in building their capacity for long-term energy modelling. The focus was especially on the LEAP model (Low Emissions Energy Analysis Platform), which was already in use in the Ministry. The specific LEAP model in use, which had been developed by Berlin Economics, was examined to identify areas for customisation and improvement, as well as to pinpoint the particular needs for training in the model.
The project was carried out for the Danish Energy Agency, with Ea as project lead, and it ran from June 2023 to March 2024.
