Analysis from Ea used in recent action plan by the European Commission

In 2023, Ea conducted an analysis for Danfoss examining the value of demand-side flexibility in the EU and UK wholesale electricity markets.

Different scenarios for the European power and district heating system, each representing varying degrees of demand flexibility, were explored in the analysis. All scenarios complied with the EU’s objective of becoming climate neutral by 2050.

Danfoss summarised the analysis in issue 4 of their publication Danfoss Impact (on page 21), and in the recent Action Plan for Affordable Energy by the European Commission, the Danfoss paper is used a source, referring to one of the findings of the analysis.
