On January 16th, the China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute and the Danish Energy Agency hosted a Workshop on Green Power Consumption, where the new Sino-Danish Green Power Cooperation Report was also launched.
The workshop had in-dept discussions on topics such as the development of renewable energy certificates in China and Europe, and the practice of green power consumption. Speeches were given by Wan Jinsong, Vice Administrator of the National Energy Administration of China, Michael Starbæk Christensen, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Beijing, and Stine Leth Rasmussen, Deputy Director General of the Danish Energy Agency.
At the launch event of the report, Helena Uhde from Ea Energy Analyses delivered the presentation of the report. She, along with Ea-partner Lars Møllenbach Bregnbæk, has played a significant role in drafting the report, which examines the governance, issuance, and role of GOs and GECs in renewable energy tracking, and discusses their role in the context of CBAM. It is based on insights from the NEA study tour to Denmark and Brussels in November 2024 and concludes with key findings.
