Together with IDA (Danish Society of Engineers) and Copenhagen University, Ea Energy Analyses hosts a seminar on January 22nd, 2025, where news from the international cooperation on efficient usage of biomass with low emissions will be presented.
From pyrolysis and biogas to biofuels and biorefining, the focus is on global trends and solutions in biomass usage with low emissions.
EUDP (Danish development programme for energy technology) supports the Danish participation in IEA Bioenergy, a technology cooperation for exchange of knowledge and experiences, along with research and development in the use of biomass for energy. Denmark is represented in seven Tasks, focusing on combustion, thermochemical processes, biogas, biofuels for transport, biorefining, biobased supply chains, as well as climate and sustainability. Morten Tony Hansen of Ea Energy Analyses is the Task Leader for Task 32, which focuses on biomass combustion.
The purpose of IEA Bioenergy is to ensure that biomass is used as efficient as possible, with as low emissions as possible, and in ways where the biomass works alongside other renewable sources as best as possible. It is the hope that the countries in learning from each other can avoid repeating mistakes already made by others.
At the seminar, the Danish representatives from each Task present results and perspectives from the past three years of work in and with IEA Bioenergy. From Ea Energy Analyses Morten Tony Hansen participates with a presentation on the work in Task 32, and Sara Shapiro-Bengtsen will do a presentation on the work in Task 40.
The seminar takes place at IDA Conference, Kalvebod Brygge 31-33, 1780 Copenhagen V, or online. Participation is free of charge. To sign up, visit the IDA website.
