In a new report for the Danish think tank CONCITO, Ea has analysed the potential for CCS in the supply sector and looked into how new climate goals for the forests of Europe can affect the prices for wood chips and wood pellets.
Through various scenarios the value of establishing CCS on electricity and heat production plants is investigated. If the value of stored CO2 is set to 1400/ton, the analysis shows that there will be stored 5,5 million tonnes of CO2 in Denmark towards 2040, while for a value of 1200/ton nearly 3 million tonnes of CO2 will be stored.
