Ea Energy Analyses, alongside COWI, UNEP-DTU, SBi, Viegand Maagøe, and CCAP, was involved in the provision of Project Support Facility (PSF) for the Mexican-Danish climate change mitigation and energy program. The Danish-Mexican cooperation supported Mexico’s own strategies and action-plans by sharing Danish experiences on energy system analysis and policy development.
Through the PSF, Mexico drew on Danish and international lessons learned and best practices and thereby enhanced readiness for implementation of the relevant policy and regulatory framework and related activities.
Ambitious targets and a strong willingness and capability to implement from many stakeholders on the ground characterise the Mexican approach to climate change. Federal states and the private sector will be crucial in reaching the ambitious targets, and they were therefore integrated appropriately as key stakeholders in the implementation process of all three components under this program.
The goal of the PSF was to facilitate and deliver demand responsive, timely, flexible and high-quality expertise in order to enable the Mexican counterparts to fulfil their role and commitments in the area of energy and climate change.
Ea Energy Analyses were involved in the knowledge sharing and capacity building activities, focusing on the application of model-based studies in power system planning, as well as renewable energy integration.
