Ea Energy Analysis has together with ENGIE assisted Eastern Africa Power Pool, EAPP, to develop the next short term work plan.
The proposed actions are in line with the strategic plan and many actions from the previous short term action plan have been reassessed. However, several changes are suggested, including a new way of sharing work between member utilities and the General Secretariat (GS).
There is focus on basic recurring tasks that stimulates more intense collaboration within the region. This is also done with the intention of achieving self-reliance and reducing dependence on external development partners.
The action plan consists of 33 priority actions for the next three to four years, and is organized along four domains: Planning, Operation, Markets, and Institutional strengthening.
The project ran from June 2020 to February 2021 and was financed by the World Bank.
