• Biomass in Randers, Norddjurs and Syddjurs municipalities – an analysis of supply chains – July 2010
  (SSCM Analysis of the Bioenergy Resources in Randers, Norddjurs and Syddjurs)
  On the basis of the current energy structure and the future energy goals of the municipalities of Randers, Norddjurs and Syddjurs, Ea Energy Analyses has evaluated the possibilities of increased use of biomass for energy production and the consequences of the utilisation of each of the resources with respect to the environmental, economic and social aspects of the utilisation. • Mauritius - a sustainable island
  - July 2010
  The Government of Mauritius has a long-term vision of transforming Mauritius into a sustainable Island. One important element towards the achievement of this vision is to increase the country’s renewable energy usage and thereby reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Democratisation of energy production is determined to be the way forward. The report presents the context, the theoretical considerations and the proposed incentive schemes to enable electricity production via small- scale distributed generators (SSDG) i.e. wind, photovoltaic and hydro installations below 50 kW. • Wind Power in Estonia - An analysis of the possibilities and limitations for wind power capacity in Estonia within the next 10 years - May 2010
  This study focusses on system integration of wind power in Estonia and in the Baltic States as a whole. The following questions were analysed: How much wind power capacity will it be technically possible to integrate into the Estonian power system and the Baltic power system? How to deal with uncertainty about forecasting of the wind power production? What are the additional system costs of integrating wind power? How does wind power deployment influence the electricity prices in the region? What is the role of the electricity market in the integration of wind power? More about the project

 

• Intelligent energy systems - A White Paper with Danish perspectives (draft)
  - May 2010
  The White Paper describes state of the art in intelligence and dynamics in the various parts of the electricity system. Selected Danish and international initiatives and projects to promote the intelligent energy system are also described. More about the project

• Future Energy Systems in Europe - Okt. 2009
  The report describes two ways to convert the EU's energy and transport
  systems to comply with two project goals for 2030:
  reducing CO2 emissions by 50 per cent and reducing oil consumption by
  50 per cent. One scenario, Small-Tech, focuses on energy savings, combined heat and power production and renewable energy. In the other scenario,
  Big-Tech, the most important measures are nuclear power and CCS

• Sustainable Energy Scenarios for the Baltic Sea Region - Aug. 2009
  The report is a study on enhanced regional energy cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region. It includes a brief overview of the energy situation in the Baltic Sea Region. Two general scenarios for the energy and transport sectors were developed that comply with the strategic energy and climate goals. The report also includes detailed scenario analyses of the electricity and district heating markets. The study was carried out in cooperation with the Baltic Development Forum. • Demand as Frequency Controlled Reserve - Final report of the PSO project
  - Sep 2008
  The report investigates the technology of using electricity demands for providing frequency reserve to power systems. The potential and economy of DFR compatible loads in Denmark have been analysed, control logic has been designed, power system impact has been investigated, potential business models have been evaluated and an implementation strategy has been suggested. • Large Scale Wind Power in New Brunswick - A regional scenario study towards 2025
  - Aug 2008
  This study examines large-scale wind power development in the Maritimes Area in Canada and examines how the Danish experience with deployment of large amount of wind power could be utilised in a Canadian context. The study indicates significant benefits from a deployment of 5,500-7,500 MW of wind power capacity in the Maritimes Area towards 2025. More about the project

 

• Congestion Management in the Nordic Market - evaluation of different market models
  - May 2008
  

  The report focusses on the technical and economic consequences of the present congestion management in the Nordic electricity market and the most important alternatives to the present scheme. The analyses include efficiency of resource utilisation, market power, incentives for infrastructure investments, security of supply and technical issues. More about the project

  
  

• Danish greenhouse gas reduction scenarios for 2020 and 2050 - Feb 2008
  The report presents scenarios for reducing Danish greenhouse gas emissions in 2020 and 2050. The scenarios provide a basis for estimating preferable combinations of technologies in the transport and energy sectors in order to obtain future reductions in greenhouse gas emissions in a cost-effective way.   The report lists a number of possibilities for optimising the fight against energy poverty while acknowledging the existing efforts to address poverty in Cape Town. • Design of White Certificates - Comparing UK, Italy, France and Denmark – Nov 2007
  In this report, the schemes for white certificates in the UK, France and Italy have been analysed.  The aim was to examine what Denmark can learn from these countries if the Danish Government should wish to introduce white certificates as a means to implement greater energy efficiency.   The report presents a number of quantitative analyses focusing on economic gains and losses from electricity trade together with results of two interview rounds with stakeholders from the transmission system operators, regulators, and national producer associations in each country.   Using Denmark and the Nord Pool market as a case study, this report focuses on what is known as short-term consumer flexibility or demand response in the electricity market. The report describes demand response from a microeconomic perspective and provides empirical observations and case studies. Furthermore, it evaluates benefits from demand response.
