Economic and technical research of the Harku-Sindi-Riga 330-kV lineThe project examined the economic and technical consequences for the Baltic electricity market of establishing a transmission line from Harku in Estonia to Riga in Latvia. The study is part of the basis for decision on investing in the transmission line. It comprises three main activities: Establishment of an energy market model, analysis of the socio-economic impact and technical analysis of the new line.
The client for the study was Osaühing Põhivõrk, the transmission system operator in Estonia. It was carried out by Ea Energy Analyses with COWI, SEAS-NVE and RAM-lose edb as sub-consultants and ran from August 2008 to April 2009.
