Gas market study for Poland by 2035

In 2007, JASPERS* retained the services of Ramboll Oil & Gas to carry out a “Gas Market Study for Poland by 2035” as a common basis for the development and assessment of oil and gas projects in Poland with EU co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund or the Cohesion Fund.

 

The overall objective of the study was to provide an independent and comprehensive view of the natural gas sector in Poland and a reliable forecast for gas demand until 2035.

 

Scenarios for gas demand

Ramboll Oil & Gas subcontracted Ea Energy Analyses and Risø DTU to prepare a number of scenarios for the future development in gas demand in Poland. The STREAM modelling tool, which Ea Energy Analyses and Risø DTU is using in energy scenarios for Denmark and the EU, was used for this purpose.

 

The project was completed in August 2008.
